If you got a 2.8 it may sound close to that but not till you run 15lbs of boost plus. Your car can only take 9lbs of boost from a Kb before you rick blowing your motor. 400hp is about the threshold of these blocks.
But yeah, dont listen to what anyone on youtube says, their a bunch of idiots. That cobra is nasty, the video i posted is more realistic as to how yours will sound. Your gonna notice it but it's not gonna be an insane whine
Would I be around 400 rwhp with a 2.1?
That Cobra is SICK!!! I watched the video you posted. The guy in the passenger seat was hilarious. I think he might have crapped his pants when the driver got on it...lol. I wanna be able to scare the crap out of people that ride in my car for the first time and get on it when they are least expecting it or talking to me about somethin!
Depends, every car is different. A few days ago Brandon and I were discussing the 2.1's on the new edge and we came across some making in the 370-380 and others were 400-410. A lot of it comes down to the tune you have.
Either range would be more than fine with me!
Steve was talkin about gettin a 2.1 down the road with 9psi. Could u run any more boost than that on my car or a GT?

Re: Cold Air Intake
You can't run much more than 9lbs on a stock block. Yeah, kenne bell's have a good whine but if your expecting it to sound like that cobra you'll be dissapointed.
And brandon, i'm sure your car does whine! haha...it's a little sissy isn't it!

9psi is perfectly fine with me....was just wonderin if any more was possible. I wasn't expecting it to sound like the Cobra at all. I just thought that Cobra sounded SICK!!! I just love the whining sound of the KB whether it's really loud or just kinda loud!
Would I be somewhere in the neighborhood of 400rwhp with the KB? Not sure what stock GT's are at the crank, but Roush claims 300hp at the crank.

Re: Cold Air Intake
Do most of the kits that people sell on ebay and other forums come with EVERYTHING needed....or do they lower the price and take away some of the extras that originally came with the kit?
I was readin the list of everything that the kit comes with on the Kenne Bell website and was just wondering if the people that sell them include all that stuff.

Re: Cold Air Intake
I've seen some awesome deals, just wasn't sure how they could come down that much in price without taking away some parts or accessories.
Then again....some people just need the money and will give u a hell of a deal.

Re: Cold Air Intake
I'm lookin at gettin the 2.1 kit.
Under 3k would be awesome!!!
Just hope if I get it for that price that not too much is missin from the kit.
What would the installation cost be? Or is a S/C somethin that many people can do themselves??

Re: Cold Air Intake
You could definitely install it yourself. As long as you take your time they aren't too difficult.

Well "I" definitely couldn't install it myself...lol. I don't much at all about instaling a S/C.
I would just need to get a bunch of buddies together to help with the install.
