well not everyone has internet... if I didnt live soo close to pick up Spring Arbor Universities WIFI... i wouldnt be gettn on!! and jus bout everybody has a phone!!

i have dial up you realy want to hear how hard it is to get on the net.cause ill tell you.hope fully the new blackberry shows up soon then ill have easier time being online.

For the people that can't or wont get on here to find out info. We can send an e-mail to there phone. It is just wrong and selfish for anyone to expect another person to use up there Cell phone minutes to make a personal phone call to say when and where an event is.

I dont see where it is such a big prob... i guess im not understanding... if you want heather and I can call everyone or at least the people that are not on here reg!! I called Flyyer bout the last one we did cause i didnt see him on here!! If I can get a call list I (and I will say I cause obv others dont feel the same) will call people to be sure they know bout the event even if I cant make it and post it up!!

There will be some cases where calling will have to happen, but we have this great tool of communication (the website and forums) that is easy to use and full of all information pertaining to the club. It is our best way to contact everyone, since we all have signed up on here in the first place. We all have lives outside of here and time valuable to all us. We will have to discuss this more during our meeting next month.

Zach it's a nice that you offer to call everyone but why should you waist your time and minutes on calling people. I simple e-mail to either there e-mail account or there phone should be enough. We can send an e-mail to anyone we have info for in a matter of seconds calling the people that don't get on here could take an hour of more.

Tim I think email is the way to go. finding the time to call means less time to drive.

I dont' care how we contact people as long as it is getting done, Zack if yall feel like calling people then call them, Tim if you want to email people then email, as long as the word is getting out and we have members coming to the events then do it. emails can get dumped into junk folders and people don't see them.

So we should do both.

I understand the frustrations, but we have to spread the word as much as we can, forum,emails,calls. As an event planner for several years you have to send out 100 invites to get 30 to show up. The more "marketing" we have the better response and turn out we can get.

For me the event on Sunday was lost on forum and I did not have access to my computer.
I would have liked a call from someone just to touch base and let you know what's going on.

I've always felt the site should be used more for the center of the club during it's off season. I do understand that not everyone has internet although, I don't understand why except maybe, money reasons.

I understand what Tim means. Both him and I car are on a dozen + forums so it's easy for us to say just use the net. The Web is for communication, learning and porn. We've all used it for at least one of the three, lol so, if you can, please use it for the communication and learning portions as well.

If you can't afford the internet then someone will make sure they contact you if you're needed on something Club related. There shouldn't be any "i didn't join a internet club, I joined a car club", stuff. The internet is just a tool to help the car club so I hope people don't get offended by what I say again.

I think that should be the end of it.

Well I think that in the big picture we all call and talk to each other anyway so there is no reason to worry about it post it call about it or for that mater start a call chain then no one person has to use up all of there minutes I now have the internet on my phone so I'm good either way. So on a side note I love this blackberry.
