This was taken July 4th before I even brought it home.
It's bone stock and does show some signs of wear, after all, it's got almost 260,000 miles on it. I have some stuff to do to the stereo system, like replacing it, and some carbon deposits to clean out of the engine, and it needs a new headliner. I'm going to install a remote engine start/keyless entry system and modify the exhaust to get that "metallic" sound like from Mustangs. I gotta get the transmission shifting better, then I'm going to start looking for a replacement motor, maybe finding a wrecked Cobra. It needs Club decals, and I'm thinking of removing the V8 badges. Sometime or other, it's going to (probably) Parkers Window Tinting in Murfreesboro.

Nice birds, I've always loved those years. I've got a '94 that the salt up here has killed, but still looking another for a project. Thinking of dropping a 4v into one.

Maybe you'd like my red one? It needs paint, but it also needs a more powerful engine. I think it would make a kick-ass project for you, and I would LOVE to see Too Slow get renamed... and it's even got the Club decals (.net) so it's really best it stays in the Club.

Eddie, that's almost a pure race car. I say "almost" because it's still street legal. Plus that's a lot more work than I can put into one now.
Dan, I understand you're going to Holiday World with us? If so, I'll bring Too Slow so you can decide if you want it for your DOHC V8 project.
I'm going to work on Green Go a little this Saturday in my dad's shop when it gets too hot outside to dig post holes for the pole barn I'm building. I want to change the oil and transmission fluid, and remove the intake air silencer. I might even make time to install the remote engine start. But I do need to replace some vacuum hoses. I think that's why the check engine light kept coming on. One of the hoses was loose the whole time... and rotten to the core. I think I see another trip to AutoZone in my near future.
Eventually it'll need struts... only Monroe will do.

Re: My new Bird.
Got new spark plugs, Wix oil filter... and as much Syntec as Green Go needs. The engine light came back on, but I'm not too concerned about it right now. I have a year to fix that, so I'm taking my time. I think AutoZone will have my wires.

Re: My new Bird.
Thanks, everyone, for cheering me on. This is going to be a fun little project for a good while. Not only that, my girlfriend was the first (and so far only person) to ride in it with me. That makes it all the more special.
I changed the oil and spark plugs Saturday, then while I was driving through Nashville, it threatened to overheat on me. I discovered the water was a little low and I've added about half a gallon to it so far. It might just need to be completely flushed, although it's still green in there. Maybe it needs a new thermostat. So far it's doing well with the Syntec.
While I was changing the plugs, I had to pull the air duct and it looks like it's highly restrictive, so some kind of CAI will be necessary. Also, whoever changed the spark plugs the last time must not have gapped them. They were all about a .044 instead of the approx .055 that it calls for.
Something I'm curious about is that the steering takes more effort than in Too Slow. Shouldn't they be about the same?

Re: My new Bird.
I finally fitted a 3-inch air duct between the throttle body and the MAF. The stock air box is still in place for now. It already sounds better, so between that and the power gain, it's money and time well spent.
Since how I cooked my brakes on the Dragon...
I ordered a pair of Power Slot cryogenically treated rotors and I'm trying to figure out what brake pad material to use. Does anyone have any experience with the Hawk HPS pads?

Re: My new Bird.
I've decided to get the Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads.
