Horsepower at the Zoo 2011
Sunday, September 18 at the Potter Park Zoo
1301 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Lansing
8:30 am – 2:30 pm
Hosted by the Capital City Corvette Club
in association with the Capital Area Muscle Car Club
Registration 8:30 – 12 Noon • $15 per Car at the Gate
New Peoples-Choice Ballots
Top Ten plus
Best of Show, Best Paint, Best Engine,
Best Corvette, Best Pre-1940
Dash Plaques for the First 60 Registrants
Food, Free Passes to the Zoo, 50/50 Drawings
Door Prizes, Silent Auctions, Music
100% of the net proceeds are donated to the
Potter Park Zoological Society. Thank you for
your support. See you there – Rain or Shine.
This was a great show last year and I'd like to see if we can bring in more of our group this year. Let's meet as a group at Meijers on Pennsylvania (just off of I-96 exit 104) at 8am. We can do some car clean up there before heading to the show. From there we can roll to the zoo at 8:20am----no later! The free passes to the zoo make for a great thing to do during the show for attendees and their families.

Sounds good! Looks like there are some others also that haven't posted yet. Weather looks good too! Partly cloudy with a high of 72 degrees, so if any others want to, let's go!

Any idea on how many free passes we get? Is it just 1 "family" pass? Or do we get individual passes? Is there a limit to how many are in a family? Also, any idea if they check your I.D. to see if you actually live in Ingham County or not. Our oldest daughter wants to come with her kids and was wondering if they'd be included in on the free passes or if they'd have to pay non-resident prices.

If I remember correctly, there are 2 free passes (not sure if you can get more free ones), but it looks like ages 3-16 are $2.00 and 3 and under are free. Non-resident adults are $10.00 while resident adults are $3.00.

Big thanks to all who came out to Potter Park Zoo for the car show today! Our 8 Mustangs made the only 'stangs in the show (heavy on the GM products there!). Great show though and the zoo was a good time. Can't really ask for better weather either, perfect temps and lots of sun! Will get some pics up here soon.
