blown head gasket
well eddie was there. it broke a heater hose. bad overheating the first time i drove it. i hoped it would not go this way but it did.
i have water vapor coming out of the exhaust. cant afford to drive it and hurt it. this sucks. a 5.00 water hose. at least the motor isnt hurt.

Re: blown head gasket
I sure was hoping this wouldn't be the case. Sorry to hear Bill. But like you say no motor damage. Hopefully the heads will be ok also

Re: blown head gasket
Did you use arp head studs? I wouldn't put any kind of boost on TTY bolts. Which gaskets did you use?

Re: blown head gasket
tty are ok.
used fel pro's best mls. the issues is crazy overheating from blown hose. if its lost that's why. if not i am impressed with the gaskets, because they have taken more overheating abuse than any ive seen in 25 years of mechanical work.

Re: blown head gasket
i drove it again today and not single drop of lost coolant. i just cant figure this thing. did a bunch of 5psi 6500 rpm runs. no overheating or lost coolant. maybe i had a air pocket.

Re: blown head gasket
one thing i do know i have to fix is the oil return line from the turbo.
when i start the car pointing downhill it smokes, when i brake real hard it smokes.
the oil must be backing up in the return line and forcing past the seals. gotta fix it soon before it ruins the seals.
that was probably the smoke i saw. and because of the anti freeze that was already arounf from broken hoses i thought it was coolant. im crossing my fingers.
