yeah the 3.4 quarter is sorta far fetched but it makes sense to me that they are not having a problem with the dip (even with higher horsepower vehicles) due to the fact the dip was at the end of the quarter and they are shutting it down at the 8th... you would be going so slow by the dip it wouldn't really matter. i might run out there sunday just to see if there is any sign of life or repaving or if this guy is feeding you full of BS

I stopped by today and no one was there but I did take pics and there is a sign of improvements!!

we stopped by there today and no sign of life... they did redo the launch pad and that is it, There is a chain up and it says "don't ask... the answer is no."

I also found out today that Kyles dad works with the main guy that is leasing it... soo should be gettn some more info soon!!

SAID HE TALKED TO A FRIEND OF HIS THAT KNOWS ONE OF THE GUYS THAT IS SUPPOSSED TO BE WORKING ON THE TRACK. AND THEY JUST RUN ON SUNDAYS FOR NOW. IF I HEAR MORE OR FIND OUT MORE I'LL LET YOU KNOW.

WHENT TO THE TRACK YESTERDAY AND THIS IS WHAT WE FOUND OUT. THE OWNER OF THE TRACK DOESN'T RUN A CAR ON IT AT ALL. A FRIEND OF HIS THAT OWNS A LOCAL CONCRETE AND PAVING CO. TESTS HIS CAR OUT ON IT. ALONG WITH SOME FRIENDS OF HIS. HE IS ALSO THE GUY THAT REPAVED THE TRACK. RIGHT NOW IT IS JUST A PRIVATE FUNCTION TYPE OF THING. THEY DON'T WANT BIG CROUDS THERE, BECAUSE IT WOULD CAUSE TROUBLE WITH TOWNSHIP. ALSO THERE IS NO RACING ON THE TRACK AND NO EXCHANGE OF MONEY INVOLVED AT ALL. THEY SIMPLY TEST THEIR CARS THERE. PLUS THEY ONLY DO 1/8 MILE, NO 1/4 MILE AS THE TRACK IS NOT PRPAIRED FOR THAT. WE WILL TRY TO MAKE CONTACK WITH THE GUY THAT IS RUNNING IT AND SEE IF SOME SORT OF DEAL CAN BE MADE SO WE CAN RUN OUR CAR THERE TOO FROM TIME TO TIME. SO AS FOR THE RUMMOR THAT THE TRACK IS GOING TO BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, WELL THAT IS JUST A RUMMOR. RIGHT NOW IT IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, AND NEITHER GUY HAS ANY INTENTION OF DOING THAT RIGHT NOW. Thanks for looking into that for us. It looks like just a dream of that the place coming back will never materialize, you can always have hope though.

IF WE CAN MAKE BIT OF A DEAL WITH THEM.....LIKE HELP MAINTIAN THE PLACE WOULD ANYONE BE INTERESTED? I JUST WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE OLD DRAGS STILL UP AND RUNNING. KINDA A NOSTALGA THING.

Why would a bunch of guys with full blown Drag Cars let a couple of 14 sec. Mustangs run down there track? If they are trying to keep it low key and not piss of the township they are going to do everything they can to keep cars out. Just my .02
