Ford Mustang Bullitt to Keep its Limited Allure

Despite the churning output from the rumor mill, Ford has officially elected to not increase the production run of the 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt Edition. They are electing to keep the McQueen dream to a closed audience this year (rolling to 2009), making the demand for the car surge even more so than it has in recent times. Sources from the International Mustang Bullitt Owners Club (IMBOC) have received the blessing from Ford that the overall 2008 Bullitt Mustang count will end up at just 5,600 units.

Many hints were pointing at the fact that production was going to be upped to the 7,700 mark, getting a wider spectrum of owners into play, but also eroding at the perceived per-unit value of each limited edition Bullitt.

For 2009, the remaining 2,100 Bullitt Ford Mustangs will have some subtle differences, along with the continuing serial number counter. It's been mentioned that the 2009 Bullitts will also add in the slick glass roof option found on other 2009 Ford Mustangs, as well as having the 45th Anniversary badging.
