Submit Ideas for 2010 Season
Have and idea of an event that you would like us to do as a club please submit it. We have some pretty cool things planed for next year but are always looking for different things to do that makes everyone happy. If you have a link to the event post that also or give us the name of the event when it is and we can Google it.

Eaton Rapids will not be having any parades in 2010, they are tearing up Main st most off next year. So, parades in different towns can happen!Blitzkreig wrote:parades in different towns.

sweetness. i was even thinking parades where we don't have members just so we can get our name out there. and i think as far as club building we should do "just for fun" get togethers and such. i know its hard to get alot of people free at the same time but it would be fun.

Fruitport MI has an parade during there "Old Fasion Days" celebration. It mostly features cars, new old whatever. Our group could totally rock their "old fashion" world! The parade needs a face lift! Its been the same cars for years. Plus there is a carnival who doesn't want an elephant ear? jus' sayin

Re: Submit Ideas for 2010 Season
What about the Ionia Free Fair? There is a large parade on opening day where you drive about 2 miles downtown on Main street and end up in the fairgrounds. We go every year to watch, but never driven in the parade. I have always wanted to thou. Just an idea.
Also Ionia has a very large carshow in June. Last year there was close to 300 cars entered. I've entered my car in it for the past 2 years, and came home with a 2nd place trophy this year for 1999 up modified. I get a pack of flyers in early spring that has about 30 carshows around my area.

This one I just stumbled on but how cool would it be to go to Sturgis SD?
http://www.sturgismustangrally.com/sturgismustangrally.html
It is September 2nd-6th (Labor Day Weekend) 2010.
I know it a bit of a trip but I might try and save to go and do this.

The Black Hills.......my old stomping grounds! My family vacationed out there ALL the time when I was a kid. Been out there some 15 times or so. My brother owns a piece of land near Custer State Park and I've got a cousin who is a park ranger out at nearby Wind Cave.BraMas wrote:This one I just stumbled on but how cool would it be to go to Sturgis SD?

19th Annual Auburn Spring Motorfair. The Auburn Motorfair is one of the premier annual auction events, featuring 1,000 outstanding collector cars in the Auction, swap meet, and car corral.
September 1-7
Auburn, IN
THE AUBURN AUCTION 2010
5,000 cars are expected at the Auburn 2010 auction. This is the 40th edition of the “World’s Largest Collector Car Auction and Show" held at the 480 acre Kruse International Auction Park in Auburn, Indiana.

"Just for fun" get togethers sounds like a great idea. Maybe schedule some -bring a dish- picnics, at some larger, more populated parks to show off the club, and just hang out.

Couldn't agree more, looks like Shady's going away party is a good one to do, for starters!
KEEP THE IDEAS COMING EVERYONE! Several on here sound like great things to add to what we have for those who can make 'em. The schedule is subject to change when necessary, just won't be able to make EVERY weekend an event (that may lead to burnout).

2011 Mustang Alley and cruising
I went to Mustang Alley this year even though it rained. Rain doesn't bother me. Next year I am planning to attend as well. I had no problem parking or getting out to cruise. I also brought 2 cars. I was able to take one home and then take the other one out on Woodward. I live just down the street from where the event is held. The event was well organized and you are able to all park together if you register as a club OR you show up together. Since I live down here, if someone needs info on the area or event, ask and I'll try to help you. Would be fun to get enough ppl to come to have our own little Mustang cruise, but the Motor City Terminators (event organizers) are planning an all Mustang cruise as well. Also as soon as the weather gets nice ppl start cruising Woodward, this is much more fun than the actual one day event and less cluttered. If anyone wants to meet up and do that one Friday or Saturday night let me know. Just something to think about for next summer.
