Since I'm not content with leaving "well enough" alone.
Here's a progression of ideas
subtle but a black roof.
Right now, my wife has my 00 cobra R's on her car, I will be replacing them with either 18" black bullets like I used to have or sticking with a new set of '00 CobraR's. (she's going with 18" FR500's)
I'm going to try and stay away from chrome so I'll be buying a new set either way. If you don't remember what they look like.

Re: cobra bumper and svo sides yes/no
Thanks, now that I'm 100% sure I'm keeping the car, I don't mind dropping another $7k this year.
If my motor would have sold, I would have parted out the car but people are too poor or cheap to drop 6k on an engine. I had it up for sale on every mustang site i'm on with no real offers.
the last offer I got the guy said he'd take the entire drivetrain with blower for 5,500, lol. He said that if I'm parting off a car this nice it had to be cause I was desperate, lol. "He said he had cash money, yo." I told him to fcuk off and then decided to keep it.

Re: cobra bumper and svo sides yes/no
Since it looks like you've dropped your car some w/ some aftermarker springs, just be aware that your ground clearance is gonna suck w/ the SVO pipes. The mufflers have the inlet and outlet on the same side, and the outlet pipe u-turns over to the side skirt.
My old white 96 GT had them installed at the dealer when it was new. Looked badass, but I was always having to watch speedbumps, driveways, etc... because the pipes caught on everything. Even had to replace the system once because I ran over a dog and it caught on the pipes under the car. The result was a ripped off side skirt and damaged exhaust.
They look cool as hell though and will turn heads. Sounded good also.

hahaha to the "he said he had cash money, yo."..he sounds like a tool.I think a 2V motor for $6K is alot of money for someone to wrap their minds around to spend...I mean I spent a ton of money on my mmr 850 stroker modular 5L, with the new 4.6 trickflow heads, trickflows aluminum intake manifold, custom ground blower cams, and a d1sc procharger, but I dont think Id ever get back nearly what I spent..I think you'd be better off selling the blower, shortblock, heads and cams, and the intake separately..I think for $6-$7K people are more prone to buy a terminator motor and trans. Just my .02. Your car looks pretty sweet bro!

Re: cobra bumper and svo sides yes/no
I don't drive my car where there are speed bumps so clearance isn't an issue. I wont be running regular side exhaust with the inlet/exit on the same side. I'll be running Flowmaster hushpower bullets with a U bent at 90* and brola dual tips.

Re: cobra bumper and svo sides yes/no
Have you priced out the Terminator motors? When I looked for one they were more than 7k. As for parting it out, Someone offered me 100 for my clutch and flywheel, lol and no real offers on anything else. I guess it's for the best, after I finish the car, I'll sell it as a complete package and get a decent amount for another project. It almost pains me to think, I have 30k into the car now and when I'm done, i'll be in the 40's and I'll maybe get 15k, lol. The things we do for cars.
I never seen your build or pictures. (I think) post it up. What kind of power are you making? I'm just shy of 600 now but I may switch to E85 for the heck of it to take advantage of the tax credits and see it I can pull somewhere near 700 with the SI.

Re: cobra bumper and svo sides yes/no
ya i just picked up a 03 cobra motor, trans, and ecu for 7k with 32K miles on it..I'm dropping it in my 96 mystic cobra...only other thing i need is an 03-04 yoke and some focus pumps then I should be ready to do the conversion. I will get some pictures of her up..my old setup was a bored .20 stock gt motor with a forged rotating assembly foxlake ported heads, cams, and s trim 3.33 pulley I was making 500 rwhp and 461 ft/lbs running out of fuel with 42lb injectors and walbro pump...nonetheless I had the car taken to excessive performance to have a d1sc procharger and lt's put on and I got it back and the motor was making a noise, not to mention ended up having a major coolant leak because he forgot to screw the cap on, thus casuing the car to go up in smoke like a mother fucker...so I took it to a family friend in ky to have him look into it...he took a bores-cope to look at the inside of the motor and all of the top part of the pistons were nicked from something foreign that went through the motor..so instead of buying new piston tops and cleaning up the block I just said screw it I want a 302 stroker with the new trickflow heads since they just came out and so on...but ya i'll get up pics

That'd be the best way to do it. Shouldn't really have any of the same issues I had then.
