Just get a set of good quality struts/shocks (Bilsteins/Tokico's) along with a good lowering or H&R race spring. For the amount of power you make you will hook fine with a sticky tire and a set of LCA's. My car has H&R Race springs with Iso's in, so it sits a little higher than most with race springs.
You should never cut stock springs (unless you're cutting a dead coil) , different portions of the coils have progressive spring rates and the ride will suck plus you have the added possibility of collapsing a spring and causing major damage to your car.
You proved in this post that you know nothing about suspension and should just back off and the people that do advise the guy. Until you can cut lower then a 1.47 60' don't try to correct me.

I don't need your permission to do anything. I'm cutting 1.8 60' on a barely prepped track in a N/A car with nothing but suspension and tire.
And like most of your posts, you talk a lot, but never back it up. Post some slips, or maybe even actually show up to a track day with the club to back up your mouth. I'm sure the ONE time that you managed to cut a 1.47 60' you "lost" your slip. So again, :*blahblah*: ..
Unbelievable.

Re: suspension
Me racing my buddys lightning
If you guys would go to another track other then the hillbilly clarksville track I will run. But it has to be a 1/4 mile or I won't have enough room to stop.
I was cutting 1.8 60' when I was NA with just some bolt ons.with coilovers up front, stock cut springs out back with shitty steeda uppers and lowers and stock shocks with nitto drags. I can go out to the garage and take a pic of that one if you want.

Re: suspension
Thanks for actually posting it up this time, much appreciated. No one is doubting that cut springs can and do work, but you know just as well as anyone else that cutting springs IS NOT the right way to do it, otherwise you would have never replaced them, right? The springs absolutely do lose integrity if you cut coils out of them, they may be OK for a while, but I would not trust them on a daily driven car, no matter what you or anyone else says.
You were running 1.8's the same way I am, I have LCA's, Drag springs, SFC's and Hoosier DR's. Only bolt on's are 75mm Plenum and TB with a Steeda CAI.
And, finally, we do agree on something. I don't race at Clarksville either, honestly, I think the pit road at the super speedway is better than the ice rink. No offense to the Clarksville guys, but getting traction there is nearly impossible on a small tire, well for anyone but TJ apparently. lol

Re: suspension
My car is a DD and was my DD on cut springs. The only reason I changed them out and went coilovers is because I needed to be able to use a different spring rate, adjustable shocks and ride height for the street and the strip. But I am making alot more power now and will be making alot more at the end of the month which is why the car is getting back halfed, tubbed and a few more little tricks.

Re: suspension
You're going to tub a DD car? I guess some would call that dedication. lmao
Completely off topic, but are you still running the BC Cobra wheels?
