Past Event: July 4th plans.....

Glenn was just cruising next to dan with no one behind him and he got pulled over and ticketed for impeding traffic... don't know how that happens with no traffic behind him...

sounds like the prick of a cop was just trying to strute his stuff. sorry to hear about the ticket glenn.

I was still putting the bird back together after taking out the back seat and side panels to grease up the window mechanisms. Who would have thunk that they dry out after 40 years.

Here's a couple pics while we were down in Marshall. I didn't take many, but I know Heather and Shady did.......

Well the "cruise"/ show in marshal was was realy cool! IF you like red & blue lights flashing ALL over the streets!
I think that the money that was being spent by the car owners and spectators wasn't enough for the county or city,,, that they needed more from handing out tickets to anyone that drove through and looked like they might be having a good time. What a joke! How do you "impeed" traffic in a car "cruise"?, especially when noone is behind you at the time of the infraction???

Even worse, my FIRST ticket in the stang was for going too slow,, who would've guessed?

Sorry about your ticket bud. Good times, friends and memories are worth more than a $90 ticket anyway. (Not that we want tickets though, lol.)

.....and odds are the cop won't even show up at the court.

They don't need to show up anymore to still be held liable for the ticket. Although, chances are they will since A. It's required by summons that they show up. B. They get paid an Extra $60 for every court appearance above their salary rate. C. They can now give their statement to another officer who can act as a liaison and not be there.

Judges are very forgiving about LEO not showing up but some cities/judges do penalize them.

Also, the whole "well, they spelled my name wrong" thing wont EVER get a ticket thrown out.

heres a question.... have any of you had a speeding ticket mailed to you???? cus i did. so now i have to go to court over it and deny responsibility

That was Rusty, he should be at Randy's party tomorrow, we can ask him then.

So about the ticket,,, the cop did show, I had video (thanks to rusty-THANX!) so did the cop, our debate lasted about an hour, the majestrate was accualy really open to my case, and I think he just didn't want the cop to feel like an idiot, and try to apeal,,,
so instead of dropping it totaly he dropped it from impeeding traffic to defective equipment???
But whatever, NO $$ - NO points!
