Past Event: July 4th plans.....

Ok, there are a bunch of us who cannot attend the parade this day due to family plans, work, vacations, and what not. What I need to know is if there is enough members who want to attend the parade. Please let us know who out there is interested in doing the parade. I still want to continue the Cruise the Fountain event in Marshall (big cruise and car show) later that evening regardless of the plans for the parade. Please let us know what you think! We need to know soon so we can let the parade committee know if we are in or not.

OK, it looks like we are doing the parade for sure! Here are the plans for the day:
-Between 9-9:30am meet at the road behind the Family Fare grocery store
-Parade starts at 11:00am
-After the parade, park near Main St. and get chicken dinners at Red Ribbon Hall (they are in take out style containers) and head over the park to eat and hang out for a while.
-Meet at the Meijers parking lot in Charlotte at 5:00pm and cruise together down to Marshall for the Cruise the Fountain cruise and show! We will watch the cars from the car show take a few "laps" then go out and do some cruising ourselves.
-Head to Battle Creek and watch the fireworks at 8:30-9:00pm or so.

IM in no matter what !!!!

I'll be there with both stangs on Saturday night.

don't think we'll be makin it.....too many plans with the family.

Jess gets out of work at 530, We're down for anything after that.

Sounds good so far, we'll see who else is in! Beezer, we'll get some plans together so we can meet you out in Marshall too.

Thomas, you should come to Marshall and "Cruise the Fountain" with us later that evening. We will have everyone meet at Meijers in Charlotte at 5pm to cruise there.

Couple questions:

1) Is this "cruise", a cruise? Or stop and go traffic?

2) Mind if we bring an older car?

1. Last year at this event we watched for a while then got on the street and cruised the main street with other cars, but we controled traffic. We ran two wide and ran speed so we did not hit all the light, but yes I would call it stop and go.

2 Not my call but I think you should bring the old one if that is what you want to drive. Agian not my call.

Thanks Randy. The old clunker doesn't like stop and go in hot traffic. Makes it grumpy.

So, if we come down we will bring the newer clunker.

Thomas you are more than welcome to bring whatever vehicle you want to... it is a stop and go traffic situation though... No where near as bad as Woodward but its still a car "cruise" in a small town so yeah traffic gets a little backed up. I will get more info on the parade yet this week and get that up for everyone also...

What time does the parade start, and where does everyone meet?
I can make the parade , but not shure about marshal yet,

we usually line up behind Family Fare at about 9:30AM and the parade starts at 11:00... We need to be lined up by 9:30 because they start shutting down all the roads...

i'm in , it would be nice to finally meet some of you .

I will try and be there but I'm unsure of my work schedule. I may have to watch firework at work from the roof top.

Larry, skip work Saurday night. Hopefully I'll have the silver car painted and in town that night. I know you're dying to get your hands on those Cobra seats so bring $$$$$.

late responce from me but ill be at the folks house watchin fireworks fron the 3 lakes that are connected (3 huge shows in three days) just sit on the boat and drink if anyone is on the mi/in state line give me a call!

David, you should really come up and meet us at Marshall. It's not too far from you and it is an awesome cruise! If you drive the other 'stang, you should try to make the parade also.
