well scrap the 7psi i took it to 10psi and my intake temp was steady at 80degrees which i am impressed about. A/r is about 10.3-10.5 which is rich but its not tuned yet! coolent temp was aroun 160f to 170 which is ok for now. i am heading back into the garage to check the maf voltage to see how it is at 10psi

we are still wondering WTF happened.. i think the lower intake bolts lifted causing coolent to leak in the cylinder and poof, i replaced the lower intake gasket and verified the the fuel injector harness was ok then then slapped everything back together. crimped the cyl. 2 and 3 spark plug wire shut a lil to make sure there is a firm grip on the plug.. also checked the MAF voltage and it was 3.5v at 10psi 02 sensor 1 and 2 were at .95v

Post by billfisher Fri Jul 17, 2009 6:00 am

you know im tempted to go another direction here soon. im satisfied with the top end power mine makes. BUT low end is just worthless. in retrospect a B headed beast is good for say 4k-7k as i have mine now. i am going to pull the motor and convert it to 3v OR buy a late model V6(3.5literdohc) and figure how to convert it to rear wheel drive. that may not be practical. so changing to 3v for low end torque and keeping the rest of the turbo setup with manley/mahley seems like a good idea. i'll have to take the pistons to work and mill exhaust valve reliefs for 3v.
