New Super Snake

What do you guys think about the new 725hp super snake? I know you've probably seen some of the arguments over which is the baddest. The ZR1 or the Super Snake. But do you think the two should even be compared? What are yalls opinions?

Super Snake FTW! But I'm also biased. I have only owned Fords from birth.

I feel the same way. Ford all the way. so my vote would be the super snake.

I'm also dyed-in-the-wool blue, so my vote is Super Snake.

Super Snake by all means, but unfortunately I'll never own one, probably wont even see one, unless it happens to be at a car show..

I owned a 71 Mach1 but it's nothing like owning new ford.. This is my first newer Ford and honestly i haven't been very impressed. Although It looks 100x better than all the GM cars I could have gotten but performance really sucked balls till I bought a S/C.

I've installed systems in the new Ford Edge, Flex and Lincolns and those cars really something to look at!! Nothing like the cars during 96-2005. I think the SS is cool but for the price I'd either build a 2010 GT or I'd just buy a new Z06 and call it a day.

Mustang looks>anything else

725 for the new super snake, and like just less than 700 for the zr1. i'll take the super snake. plus you can still add a few more mods to the shelby and get it up around 800.....it would be alot harder to do that to the zr1. not to mention the shelby will be worth more down the road.

Definately agree with you guys. I'm not thrilled about what a hog the GT 500 is but with the looks and engine it carries, what true ford enthusiast could turn it down? I think it would take the vette in the 1/4. But i dont know how good it would hold up in a road course...

The Super Snake is an amazing car but there is nothing in that car that makes it cost what it does. You can buy a GT500 and modify it yourself and it will be just as fast for less $. and people that buy cars just because they think there gonna go up in value are not True Car Enthusiast.
So for my $ I'd buy the Z06.

:*agree*: The Super snake is just that, it's basically the KR package but with the Kenne Bell 2.8H mamoth system on it, that kit costs $6k for the GT 500 so with that and about $1000 in body mods you got yourself a supersnake for half the price

I'll just keep building on this car. Maybe I can make the arguement with the wife "Whast 10grand a year in mods?" "I could just spend 80k and buy a vette"....lol

Probably not but it's worth a try at least once. And i also think the 80,000 is a little steep for the snake. I dont know what ford was thinking with that. Other than the fact that there are certain collectors out there that will pay that much just to have that part of ford's history

i think that some of you are forgetting that like any shelby, the super snake is numbered. and that those who will be buying one are the ones that make enough to just throw away a 100,000+ dollars down the drain at will. plus the new zr1 causts just as much and is not nearly as cool looking. and with a clear plastic piece in the hood just so you can see the engine cover, i mean i stupid is that?

My GT is numbered where it counts... Hp and tq.

725 still sounds alot higher than 600. plus down the road none of ours will be worth what the super snake is right now. thats a car that you can honestly say is an investment.
