I am happy and kinda sad, I wanted to talk to you today because I am excited that I did great on the promotion board, I got the max points possible. I really wanted to share this with you. I also found out that now that I am promotable I am eligible for a re enlistment bonus and if its still available in january (everyone in the reenlistment office thinks it will still be there) if we decide its best for me to reenlist then i would want to use this money for a new garage, I think this would be better then a loan. I am so happy I made it and I have more points then i thought i would, i have 666 points.. ya ya bad number but /i am happy about it. I hope i get promoted soon. Now i am so excited to come home and see you, my stress lvl is down now. Tell your brother to be safe over here and i am sorry i didnt get home in time to meet him.

Tony that is so awsome. I think he goes up for re-enlist in Jan and he is trying to figure out weather or not he wants to stay in. I think ha is at the half way mark so this will be hard for him to figure out. with jobs being hard o come by it has been nice haveing job security but I so know he is very very tired of being deployed.I do not know what he will do. hugs and I am so happy for you.

Congrats Nick.. That was my 1st mos before going 91S.. Halfway is a big decision. That's when I got out at 9 years 4 months.. Just whatever you do, don't make any decisions while in theater. Come home and ask questions and see about things before signing any paperwork if at all possible.

I had the same MOS my 1st 2 years. It was 64C back then. It was a Large Chariot Driver back then. I was changed over to a Mechanic on my 1st tour in Korea. Both MOS's had there good and bad points. I ended up being a Mechanic/Wrecker Driver most of the time, which was nice. I ran at the back of many 100-125 truck convoys in Nam, which was not fun, but most other assignments were good. All the fun stopped when I made E6.

Thanks everyone.. My points are maxed at the moment 798 so I am hoping they drop some in the near future. I definately will not be making any decision while deployed, I will wait untill i am back home for good. Just over 2 weeks now untill I should be home.
