Tooo bad...

Too bad we can't have a national WH meet somewhere. I'm just sayin I know our chapter has talked about it several times and I'm sure so have you guys. It would be badass if we could!

There would need to a central location. Time and money would be an issue for me too, But still interested.

We need to start looking into this, but in all reality this year may not be the best opportunity.

Not sure if you guys want to come to Cal but I wish in time I might be able to expand the club out here, still giving it a go.

the tri city meet IN,MI,TN was fantastic ( i was reviewing the pictures the other day) might be really difficult to do a national to include cali this year but having an eastern meet this year or the next would be great. would TN be a good middle spot. a haul for MI chapter though

i've actually looked into this and it seems the best central location for MI, IN, TN, LA, and SC would be Louisville, KY... obviously TN and IN would get out of this pretty easy but it seems the best central location for MI, LA, and SC... Although i missed the first "tri-chapter" meet i had a really good time at the second one and would definitely be down for another...

I had worked out another meet that was during NMRA world nationals in Bowling Green KY. It was about as centralized as we could get with Stuff to do..Especially that week being we are a mustang club. It fell through due to the Horrible gas prices that summer pushing $5.00 a gallon by the end of it. but there's an idea for ya. I had a lot of great feedback from all the chapters that wanted to go. As said before it's the time/ money issues that'll get people. Me personlly i'll go where ever. All my family live in in MI so i go there anyways!

NMRA's in Bowling Green would be great I know my chapter makes that a big event and goes! We'll figure it out with gas prices this year wouldn't be the best but I heard it was going down so we'll see I guess

The problem we had last time (besides the price of gas) was that we are a family oriented club and most people felt that their spouse and children would not be interested in NMRA's. The last meet we had we all went to a theme park which offered rollercoasters and water rides which seemed great for members of all ages... Someone else had mentioned some caves near bowling green that may be interesting for all ages also...

A theme park would be the way to go in my opinion...

The place is called Beech Bend Raceway and WATER PARK, they have water rides and roller coasters and what not there as well!!!!! I'll be there no matter what (Bowling Green) we go ever year!

These events need to be about the club...Mustangs, Family, and Freinds. We have the Mustangs part covered, just driving to these events are outstanding. Next we need family and freinds. That's where you all come in. The event needs to be in a place that has all attractions covered. Louisville, KY is close but I'm not certain about their attractions. We could always visit the Lousiville Slugger museum.

yea. wed have to go somewhere with alot of space. Good idea richard. but Definetly sounds like something possible in the future

i actually looked into travel times and distances a little more the other day and came up with paducah ky being the most central local for everyone except TN and IN it would be about 9 hours for everyone else i will look into what there is to do there, we could also look into maybe going to some where closer to one of the other chapters such as SC they have CAROWINDS theme park, its on the border of NC and SC in charlotte NC is the address on the website www.carowinds.com... just a suggestion there are alot of other other spots to look at in all our chapters areas we can look at i am down as long as i have time to plan ahead for it....

Bowling Green gets my vote. We have several from Clarksville that go to NMRA every year. There is also an amusement park and water park there for those that don't want to spend the whole time at the NMRA events.

I say if we do let's go to Dollywood. LOL Then the TN would realy be getting off easy. I just would love to go up there though.

Sounds like our president and vice-presidents need to set up a group chat at 7 pm some night in future to discuss this for 2012 so everyone can start saving and planning for mid to late June or early september.
