Our next meet March 26th

Next meet we are going to the State Capitol for pictures.Need all to come so we will have your car on our home page.We will meet at winn dixie at noon.Then after that we will go some where to eat. March 26th

The car might not be ready by then. WE will get you some great pics though when we get it ready. Promise.

Just let me know what day and I can meet you guys at the capital.

Doh! If I EVER get my crap fixed, I'd love to do some stuff.....just so many other places where money is going that the Stang isn't a priority as long as we still have the wife's car.

i do have a jeep we could start pullin it around yes prioritys are first thats why the mach is gone ;{ but hey dez's car is paid for so no complaints

Well, I should be paying off one bill tomorrow, and hopefully that will free up the ~$200 I need to fix it, so it SHOULD be good for the NEXT meet, but not this one. But, hey, as close as I live to the capitol, I might go down there myself and snap some pics of it to get for the site.

How close to the capital are you, I'm over on Essen.

I'm at the north gates of LSU, E State and Highland is my closest intersection. I can see the capitol from my apartment door.

Either alternator or battery. Haven't had the time to get them out and checked, so when I get the money, I'm gonna pull them both out and have them tested at AZ or somewhere.

Jump the car and crank it unhook the positive off the battery and if it does it's the altenator if it keeps running it's the battery

Good luck and if you dont make it for the pics get with me and we will go at the same time to get them done Rob's car wont be ready either.

Didn't even think of that. I'll give that a try this weekend and see what happens. Hoping it's just the battery. Cheaper and easier, won't even need Tim's tools for that one.

Another way would be the battery light on your dash if it works, just jump your car off and if it's on while your car is running the alternator is shot... I find that one a little easier lol

yea i forgot that one to all my lights r always on if they go out then i worrie

I have some that don't go off either, I don't even know if my batt light even works.

I haven't driven it in so long, I don't even know what lights work/don't. And another thing I'm worried about is that it needs an inspection, and I have no idea what the emissions test is like for EBR parish. Anyone know any inspection stations in EBR that can help me out with emissions stuff?

The guy out here in walker would probably pass it, especially if he passed mine

Don't you have to have it inspected in the parish it's registered in, though. It's been so long since I've actually had to deal with this garbage that I don't know the laws any more. The sticker on it now is from West BR parish, but I don't think they have an emissions test.

EDIT: I actually didn't know this, but WBR has emissions tests, too. I'm mostly worried about visual. I WILL fail that, which is the main reason I need a hook up. I'm pretty sure it has the censor thingies that make it pass the OBD inspection. Curse my car being a 1996. Pre-1996 don't get emissions tested.

Yeah if it would pass emissions it will pass where I get mine, even though mines pre 96 it does still have to pass visual and it shouldn't have even passed then.

But still come out with us it will be fun.
