In case anyone is interested- going to Milan drayway
hey everyone,
I have enjoyed getting to meet members of the WildHorses at recent events.... and thought I would throw this out there for anyone thats interested. Several friends & I are going to Milan Dragway Sept 23rd, FME night ( Ford Motor Enthusiasts ). We use to be mustang power junkies trying to see who had the quickest mustang, now we go every once in while to have a little fun and try not to break any parts ( engines,trans,rearends...etc ) Its quite expensive for this trip to the dragstrip, but there should be alot of other mustang enthusiasts there to meet. I cant believe their charging $60...... its been awhile since I went, but I remember $20-40 could get you into most tracks.
if interested and want to meet up / let me know.....
close friends cars that are going
Chad - 04 black terminator
Todd - 87 black GN ( went to the darkside - used to race his 90 notchback in realstreat for several years a while back )
Dave - 01 redfire cobra convertible
me - 03 silver terminator
later,
gary
Sept 23rd(thurs of course) ! gates open at 5 , race 6-9
$45 FMC members
$60 non-members
ONLY $5 TO WATCH AND ENJOY WITH SOME FOOD(concession open !)

I hear ya, I almost changed my mind when by friend told me the price. I typically only go to the track once a yr lately, so I hope I get to make atleast several passes. I hope I dont get asked to leave the track after my first run, no roll cage. I think it used to be 12.50's w/o cage, and Milan seems to be more strict than other tracks like Martin & Stanton.

I think it depends on when you go to the track on how strict they are with the rules. If you go early in the season they all seem to be strict because they are trying to set precedence for the season. but you get a little later in the season and they seem to loosen there belt a little.
Sounds fun but for $60 I can go out to Gingerman and do the twist

I ran the quarter at US131motorsports park last Wednesday for $15.
They have one more Wedensday Test and Tune (9/22) and every Saturday in October is a Test and Tune date.
Speaking of Gingerman, we should run there soon.

I think we need to do this before it gets too late....crazyassracing wrote:I ran the quarter at US131motorsports park last Wednesday for $15.

I think the $60 @ Milan is to steep for me at the moment, dang.

The Test and Tune on Fridays are $25 to run and you can run as much as you like, I always get 4 or more runs. The Street Cruises also on Fri. are only $30. They were about as laxed as it gtes when I teched in, all they looked at were the dates on my harness, never even rasied my hood.
