Shave door handles...

Has anyone or dones anyone know anyone that shave there door handles on a mustang. If thay had any problems with the door popers.

See im thinking about shaving the side vents and door handles. So i wanted to know will there be any problems with them..

thing to remember, once you shave the door handles you can never go on the drag strip... you are allowed to shave the locks but must have door handle to run it down the track (so emergency crews can get in if need be....)

That's why I didn't shave my handles and only did my locks.

See i dont race the stang. im just making her a nice show car.

Don't spare the money on cheap poppers. We have them on a 84 cutlass and if you don't have quality you may have problems, although part of are problem has to do with the colder temps.

What would u say be a good price on a set or do you know a web page were i can get them at...

I paid 130 for my Autopowers. I've had them sitting in a box for 6 years now, lol.

one thing i havw alway kept i mind is... i had a friend with shaved handes and door poppers and i thought it was cool untill one day we went out and he left something on and we came back to the car and the battery was dead .......and guess what no handle ,no locks, no way to charge the battery!!!!! what a pita...just somethan to keep in mind...lol

See what i was thinking. We did this on imports are trucks. See we would take off the door pandles and go on the back of the door. Take off the rode that is to the door handles. Then go to the door locks and take some zip tyes and zip tie it to the door locks.
So when yousing the alarm unlock the door and the door would pop open.

Not i dont know if it will work on the mustang. I dont know ahole lot about mustang for those who dont know me.

the rods are same ina mustang the lock rod is v=ertical and the handle is horizontal
