347 stroker or 351? Empty 347 stroker or 351?

as a winter project im going to build another engine for the cobra. dont know if i want to go with the 302 stroked or 351. i dont have alot of knowledge, as far as stats and demensions, about the 351 i just see alot of guys going to them. just looking for some opinions on the two as far as power and reliabilty. dont want to loose alot of driviabilty of the car. still want a cruiser not a strip car. looking for between 450 and 500hp. if some of you could post some pros and cons i would appreciate it. thanks

If' you're starting from scratch, go with the 351. It'll make 400rw with a properly tuned 750 carb and get 15mpg and it wont cost much. Unlike building a 347 with an "OK" stroke ratio but more expensive parts to get the numbers you want with more compression.

My build is going to cost $5500 with top quality heads and 400-450rw that'll last longer than I'll ever own a car.

351w all day long, I went and will never look back. Hopefully at the next meet at Ryans I will have mine up there and we can talk about it more.
