tuning with the sniper
i have played around with about 100 tunes so far. different MAF's ,setting, etc.
put the LMAF in and boy it took a few hours to get a baseline tune where it would run.
it will take a few runs to get it right, but fianlly i can get the A/F perfect throughout the rpm range and fiddle with the spark after that.
i finally have all standard sensors where i can tune it all elctronically. no need to fool the 'puter any more. LMAF revvs quicker than the C&L. should be worth a few hp. and its totally a standard OEM FORD part.

Re: tuning with the sniper
ok finally success.
all WOT shifts are below limiter. i am fine tuning it before our next dyno. i will take my PC to the dyno so i can get it precisely on.
lightning 90mm MAF works perfectly. shifts like a race car... very hard and quick.
5200 rpm 1-2 shift
5700 rpm 2-3 shift.
no more excuses. a tune finally.

Re: tuning with the sniper
OK I FINALLY HAVE IT 99.5% RIGHT. I CANT WAIT FOR TUESDAY'S RACING AT THE HILL.
I M GOING TO ADD A FEW MORE DEGREES TIMING TO THE LOW END, AND WTEAK THE a/f TINY BIT. BUT 99.5% there.
woo hooo...shifts like a dream. i forgot what it's like to just somp the accelerator and drive it. no more trying to get the 1-2 shift before it hits the limiter but after 5000... one out of 5 runs i actually got it. now every time.

Re: tuning with the sniper
pulled the LMAF out. it makes more power, and its obviously betterm, but i have a high rpm/high load miss with it. the tuner thinks its the MAF reading barometrically wrong. the C&L 80mm works perfectly, but gives up noticable power.
