Shelby Announces 2005-2009 Mustang GT Packages

For owners of the 2005-2009 Mustang, Shelby Automobiles has just announced a new package program just for you. With the new Shelby Supercharged and Shelby SR post title packages, you can send your Mustang GT to Shelby for a vacation and have it transformed into a genuine Shelby, complete with serial number in the Shelby Registry.

The two new 500+ horsepower post-title packages for the 2005-2009 Ford Mustang GT include serious performance upgrades and exterior styling cues that will set your car apart from the breed. Both packages are 50-state legal too.

The Shelby Supercharged package includes a Kenne Bell Supercharger that cranks out 500 HP. In addition, to this increase in horsepower, the package includes improvements to the Mustang GTs handling, styling and stopping power.

The Shelby SR pushes the performance envelope to an entirely new level. With a 500 HP Kenne Bell/ Shelby supercharger (a 550 HP Shelby/Ford Racing unit is optional), Shelby/Baer 6 piston brakes, fully adjustable Eibach suspension, rear Watts Link and other race style equipment, the SR is perfect for track days as well as the street. Only 1,000 Shelby SRs per model year will be built.

The Shelby Supercharged really enhances the capabilities of the Mustang GT while the SR makes the pony car an impressive track performer, too.”

Shelby Automobiles will begin installing packages in September of 2009.

Prices for the post-title Shelby Supercharged package start at $19,599.00 (car not included) with:

The price for the post-title Shelby SR package starts at $31,499.00 (car not included) with:

• 550 HP Shelby/Ford Racing 550 HP Supercharger

• Short-throw shifter

• Borla dual exhaust

• One piece aluminum driveshaft

• 6 piston Baer Brakes system

• Front brake ducts

• Eibach performance suspension with coil over shocks, struts, pro sway bars, bump steer kit, new lower control arm bushings, caster/camber plates, etc.

• 3.73 rear gears

• Shelby functional deep draw hood, with hood pins

• Shelby grille with letters

• Engine dress up kit

• Shelby SR graphics package

• Shelby gauge pod

• Serial numbered dash plaque and engine plate

Options on both packages include: Shelby/Ford Racing Whipple supercharger, Shelby front and rear fascias, front and rear brake ducts, performance clutch, Eibach system, six speed manual transmission, chin spoiler, sequential taillights, quarter window covers, Kicker stereo upgrade, race ready roll cage, cooling system upgrade and two-tone interior.
