Re: Friday Night Adrenaline Drags.
Wow, you guys missed a great night of racing!!
I finished 3rd out of 19 cars in the Domestic class, nearly stole it at the end, but just barely got beat by a Chevelle in the semi's. I treed him by a little under .1 but he caught me on the top end and the final margin was .113...... :*kaboom*: Had I been able to stay in front of him I would have most likely won the whole damn thing. He raced a fox (fox got the bye run in the semi) in the final which was a decent bit slower than me, probably about .3 +/- slower.. Oh well! First time I made it out of the second round and it was almost a win.
I'll definitely be heading out again ASAP.
BTW: for not being an "official" drag strip, it's hella sticky and an overall great facility. I only lost traction once and it was in the final (go figure.)

Re: Friday Night Adrenaline Drags.
Made it out there this weekend, finally convinced my dad to take his Mini Cooper S, made a couple of practice runs and was getting everyone staged, then the freakin' rain came out of nowhere. Rained just a little for about 15 minutes and they had to call it because their jet dryers were in Memphis for the Truck series race. Boooo!
No racing next week because it's 4th of July weekend.

Re: Friday Night Adrenaline Drags.
Bumping this thread again, Planning on heading out again this week. For those of you who are Naturally Aspirated we've had a stong field of "domestic's" running every week, the least I've seen so far has been 16 cars, last week we had 18.
If you are N/A, you CAN run drag radials, NO SLICKS.
For those of you with Cobra's, depending on your mods you'll be in either Factory Modified or Street Offender.
Remember, you HAVE TO WEAR A HELMET!
I'd really like to have a good showing of Wildhorses at least once this year, the Music city Mustang club is usually in full effect, so the Mustang crowd is pretty large.
