bbk underdrive pulleys
ok so i bought the bbk underdrive pulleys, some of you know that i have been asing around about them, perticular the crank pulley and it being a piggy back pulley not a solid piece, some of you have told me that it will ruin my oil pump because of the harmonic balancer being moved out some from the block some have told me it wont effect anything, so now i am really confused and lost i emailed BBK directly and they say they have never had that problem but what if noone just never called or complained so what do you guys think what should i do put them on or buy a solid piece :wtf: :*kaboom*:
Re: bbk underdrive pulleys
at extreme rpms (7000+) it can shatter your oil pump. less than that use it.
if bbk says it has never heard of problems the are fibbing.

i dont think i have to worry about 7000+ but i have an auto and it shifts right at red line which is 6000, i dont want to put these on and then blow anything up.

then i wouldn't put them on if I were you. always trust your instincts, when it comes to your car. if something doesn't feel right, then don't do it.

Re: bbk underdrive pulleys
While I do not like piggyback pullies for your application it shouldn't hurt. Would I recommend getting a different setup? Yes when it comes to UDP's Steeda is the way to go. But like Billfisher said up to 6K they will work, high revvers is where the damage is done typically. I just would not trust them personally.
