Midnight madness Friday Jan 9th

Anyone wanna go to the track tomorrow night?
I won't be racing my car, but i know there's a few that want to get better and i'll be more than happy to check times and give you pointers.

Sounds like fun and I have alot to learn but I'm old and I need a serious nap to stay out that late. We'll see how work goes.

hmm I could try out the slicks I guess --- depends on how the weather holds out-- what time do you all go out there?

yeah, i'm goin the opposite way and putting my BFG streets back on, keep me from getting tempted, till i break this thing in.

I wish. Teh wifey is working so I'll have the munchkins. Am gonna hit a few Wednesday's w/ you though... :^drunk^:

Ya i was thinking the same thing.

I talked to WIlliam and the track WILL be open tonight. Also, they will continue to do "mid-day" on saturdays through the end of the month. Basically he said that if we keep comin out and support the track, he'll keep the track open for us!!

Yeah I forgot to put that on the earlier post, the gates will be opening at 9 o' clock. on saturdays the gates will be open at 1 o' clock till dark

LIKE OMG ok for any one who was not at the track like I almost put the car in the wall. There are no words to describe what I feel or what happened. Something about putting a 50 thousand dollar car in a wall makes me want to rethink about putting it on the track. I so am loooking for a jumker to rebuild

Donna, did you run the slicks? If you did, it's a different style of driving than on street tires.

no I ran street tires because nick said I would brake something if I ran slicks. When I was in the benz I was told to just gas it and go so I did the same thing in the roush. Well this time when I gassed it the roushes tires sun out and the car went to the side so I let off the gas got it straight then gased it agian trying to get down the tack and then it spun out again going the other way this time and so again I let off the gas and it straighten up. by this time I am shaken and just wanting out of the car. I got down the track and came around the second and third time I did not spin at all because now I am scared to gas it in fear of losen control. So eddie my time when racen now will so suck. Now sure if I can get this down racen the roush. the stick is not whats getting me its the car spinnning and tail end going all over the place.

Wehn nick did it in his car it was fun and I knew he knew what he was doing for me in the roush I so did not expect that and now scared of that supid car. Paul, eddie,TJ who ever I need to find a parking lot with that car and be shown ok what to do when it goes out of control and maybe practice some launches so the if the car goes sideway there is room to get it straight.

The first time you spin, cruise to the finish line (you've already lost unless the other car spins too or the other car is a vega with 2 out of the 4 cylinders missing). Get the Roush out and do donuts in a deserted parking lot away from the city, away from any light poles, late at night. Have someone help you.

I agree with you and if your willing to show me or help me then I will be there tell me when and where and I will be there, So are you going to show me?

cant go anywhere right now. My car is in the shop for a new clutch setup. wont be ready til monday or tueday.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good night on the track but at least we got to have fun hanging out. And thanks for continuing to run with me. I was alot more comfortable running with a girl. It was great to finally see what she would do, it'll be even more fun after I learn what the heck I'm doing. Thanks TJ for coming out and getting me started.

I remember the first time I went.... I was scared as heck! Though my car is alot slower than both of yours I am sure, I had lots of fun and my heart beat so fast.... that I am now hooked!
