So who's in for a meet to plan '09?

EVERYONE THIS IS IMPORTANT!

This meeting will help us plan our 2009 events, cruises, etc...

All of you have some great ideas about 2009 so lets meet and discuss them.

If you could please PM or email me a list of all the events, shows, track days, fun events, etc that you would like to see or do. This way I will be sure to research them and add them to the schedule.

Aj I know there is a race to Indy event this year at ORP thats being put on by indy mustang club. I definitely think the group should get togehter for this. I beleive its June 5-7. As far as other events, I'd just like to see more gatherings at the track and more of a turn out from our group at o riley and whatnot.

Thanks Brandon! I will definitely look into "Race to Indy." As for for the track and O'Rielly, this is a touchy one. We have several members including myself that have school or work late on Tuesdays, which as we all know is track night. As for O'Reilly last year we used to start out at Circuit City and go from there. We didn't want to intrude on the Southside Mustangs "turf." Now that we know that it's more open to the Stang community we will frequent it more. Suds is also a nice change of pace, so that will be another scheduled event.

AJ, I cant make it the 10th because of work unfortunately. I really dont know what all goes on around here in the summer since I didnt live here last summer. I have every other weekend off so i'll definately go to whatever events I can. The good news is that i have every other tuesday off now so that will work well with track nights even if i dont actually race every time i go. So i guess i dont really have any suggestions about events to go to because i have no idea what was here last year. I just know it will be a lot more than terre haute so i'm excited about it. So just let me know what events you guys decide on at the meeting and i'll make as many as i can. I'd really like to help this club grow in indy this year. We have some nice cars and I think people would like to be a part of a club that has the quality of some of the cars we have in it. Even though mines just an SN95 lol

I just drove through Tenn. and was thinking how fun it would be to take the stang through the mountains. I65 kinda sucked in the Tahoe but in my car it'd be a blast.

PINKS IS ON THE SCHEDULE!!! I'm finalizing the listing and posting the site this week.

I found several events, shows, etc. That we missed last year. I'm even including a few events in Franklin/Columbus, Lafayette, and possibly Evansville.

oh i did think of one event although it isnt in indy. I talked about it once last year before i met you guys but its the Dallas Montgomery Memorial Race, its in terre haute at the dragstrip. Theres regular braket racing, a quick 16, car show, etc. It was pretty cool last year and i'm sure this year will be better. I would imagine the terre haute mustang club will be there, plus the wabash valley rodders. Some people could race in sportsman class if they wanted or just enter the car show. I know i'll be there for sure, but everyone is welcome to come. it takes just over an hour once we get on I-70. I'll get more info if you want, i'm pretty sure itll be late summer/fall.

Could you please get a little more info on this? I think we could do this as a cruise event.

yea i know a lot of people that work at the track, i actually worked for her where i did vinyl graphics and signs so i need to call her to get my w2's anyway lol

YOU GUYS REALLY NEED TO COME TO MICHIGAN FOR THE WOODWARD DREAM CRUISE THERE IS A SUPER 8 AND HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS RIGHT IN CHARLOTTE AND THEN WE CAN ALL CARAVAN DOWN IT IS AN AWESOME TIME

We could roll as a group to Charlotte or Lansing, MI on Friday and make the Detriot trip Saturday morning with the WH MI crew. After that cruise back and BBQ Sat night and come home Sunday. All in all it's about a 4 hour trip to Charlotte/Lansing and another 2.5 to Detriot.
