Exaust Question

If your wanting loud look into SLP's there shaped like a glass pack so it does'nt matter where the in/ out is. IMO The sound they produce sucks but there are loud. Its your car so do what you think sounds golden.

Have u ever heard Violator mufflers??

How much are the SLP's??

is it a v8 or v6?

what do you have beyond it? headers? mid pipe?

does performance matter? if so get a straight throw deisgn muffler like magnaflow or borla.

Yes I've heard them there are really not my cup of tea. I have Bassani on my car which I pretty fond of, but it's $$$$$$. I had and off road X at first but the damn thing was so loud and raspy it had to go. Now I have a catted X It's still loud but has tone. You might look on SVTPerformance in the for sale section there are alot of guys who dont like them and are trying to sell theres. you dont like what you have now or what? magnaflow is a solid muffler...most bone stock 2v's with magnaflow c/b see 10-12 rwhp gains.

Pypes exhaust is the biggest piece of **** Ive ever seen. Its a knock off of flowmasters..Sorry Pat! But if you want something that loud without any exhaust tone then why dont you just save your money and put some straight pipe on.

I like the Magnaflows.....just want somethin LOUDER and sounds better!!!

I'm sure the Violators would be just as good as the Magnaflows when talkin about HP. The Violator is a straight through muffler.

I want somethin LOUDER but I do wanna keep some tone. I've heard a lot of different things about Pypes stuff.

I've heard people say it sounds AMAZING and I've heard people say they don't like it.

Like i said if you want loud do straight pipe, save the money and buy another mod with it. I got my first mustang when i was 17 and have had 6 different ones, and I can promise you, that you couldnt pay me to put that **** on my car.

How much would straight pipe cost??

Pypes will give you louder but it definitely won't sound better as far as tone and muscle car sound. Really there is loud and raspy or deep and throaty when you do exhaust and sometimes you can get lucky and get in between, but not with the setup you are considering.

probably 50 bucks worth of 2.5 inch exahust piping and someone to weld it in.

So the setup I'm considering is gonna be loud and raspy?

I did'nt want to say any thing but YOUR RIGHT ON!!!! Total junk sounds like crap, but once again this is only my opinion if you like by all means buy it!

Oh definitely. If someone tells you otherwise they don't know what they are talking about. Anything with an offroad x is going to be somewhat raspy.

OMFG YES!

That's a lot cheaper than $150 for each Violaor muffler.

Would the labor for putting it on cost a lot??

With this set up you will have NO MUFFLING at all just pipe and won't sound good. It's a Roush save ur pesos and get someting of quaility I think you'll be happier in the end.

Well I don't know very much about exaust so I appreciate all of your opinions.

hey if u want loud u can get straight pipe for 50 bucks take it over to pd by the airport and they can probably do it in an hours time @ $60 an hour..so 110-120..id rather lose 120 than spend 300 on mufflers plus install cost..either way it will sound like ****.

magnaflow is one of the best quality mufflers out there. you could try bassani. It maybe a little louder and you wont be sacraficing quality, performance, or tone.
