Good news bad news
Bad news first...Jody is leaving for Iraq next week. This sucks big dead bears!!
Good news...I got a job I'll be working as a nurse in the clinic just around the corner from our housing. At least I'll be busy while I'm alone.
Hope everyone is doing well. We are making the best of being here but I would I would rather be there. Take care and go do some work!!

We have been having alot of fun, seeing the sights and meeting the people. With Jody playing in the sand box it really takes some of the enjoyment out of it but we are trying to stay busy. There is certainly plenty to do here, it's just getting a couple of boys interested in going. We are going to a big American muscle car show tomorrow but my car is in the shop, so I'll be driving my rental caddie. But hopefully we will still see some cool cars.

Re: Good news bad news
I seriously considered driving the Shelby today especially since Jody had given me a driving lesson before he left. Shifting is not exactly my strong suit, to say the least but I was feeling pretty good. Well I decided to practice yesterday and got out on the autobahn for stint and drove a little in town. I stalled twice and chirped the tires more than I care for Jody to ever know and broke loose completely once... I drove the caddie today And it was a good thing, the show was in the middle of a hay field and not at all an easy place to manuver.
We had a good time though. It was a small but good show. Germans do car shows way different, cars are coming and going all the time, so you have to keep walking around because you never know what came in five minutes ago. The did have good food and dogs are welcome so even Max got to go have fun, he is one tired hound dog now. I'll post up the pics after I've had my nap.

I heard on talk radio that Obama said that our troops would definitely be home for the holidays. Supposedly the fight in Iraq is coming to a close.
