Trading out the gears

Steve is this your daily driver or just your weekend cruiser/track warrior?

Well....huh.

I guess I'm staying with the 4:10's then. I just hope i can hook! lol. I'm gonna purchase some DR's this summer for sure now!

DD Right now. That's the only thing i'm worried about.

thats a link to a thread on another forum that tells all the rpms and stuff. I do about 40% on I-70 at around 70-75 and then city. I'm just not sure yah know...lol.

Ya dr's will definitely make a difference. I need to get a set myself.

Ya my 06 gt was my daily driver until I added the supercharger, exhaust, and gears. Then it became a garage queen and I went and bought a beater to get me around.

I actually was gonna go check out a 91 hatch little 2.3 Mustang at this junkyard. A buddy has a 89 notch 2.3 cammed and it's quit the little beast lol.

did you go with 4:10's in the 06?

I know once the gears are in i'm gonna have to find something for the winter. that's for damn sure

Ya I went with 4.10s, however my 06 was actually an automatic. From talking with a few different places this is what I was able to pick up:
manual N/A 4.10s
manual forced induction 3.73s
auto N/A 3.73s
auto forced induction 4.10s

yeah the guys on that other forum say about the same but for N/A auto the said like 4:30's or someting crazy like that. I'm just gonna stick with these. If they are too much i can always change them if i brake an axle or something.

What did your 06 run in the quarter?

Here's the 411 on gears. I got the same feedback from many experienced racers.

N/A Manual Tranny & N/A and power adder Automatic tranny:
4.10 - 4.50
(4.50 being the most agressive of course and strictly for the track)

Power Adder Manual Tranny only:
3.55 - 3.73
(I've heard of some even going as low as 3.27 in sick turbo setups because of their MPH goals)

And i know you guys will think this is funny. After prom tommorow, me and my girl are planning on coming down and cruising with you guys if your still out. haha. should be around 11:25-11:45 when we get down there.

What did your 06 run in the quarter?

It ran a 12.7 something and that was with the stock tires and suspension. I had a bad reaction and 60' time though. I was only running 6lbs of boost though. The thing that sucked though was I had the fuel system maxed out on the car.

I'm not gonna say i would rather be there, cause if she ever saw this she would kill me.

I will say that the people around us would be much better with the wildhorses than any of the kids that are going to be there. ha. I went and got my tux today. i Look like a mobster. it was pretty funny

Eh, most people are a little shy the first time they come out but after getting to know the group it is real easy to open up. We are like one big family!

What day do we plan on cruising anyways? I know some said Friday was good and others Saturday. I'm down for either day or possibly both.

i have already seen it once but that was before it was put away into secrecy and he changed up everything so i just want to see what he can do
