ohhh baby!!

so today i had the privelage of working on a 2010 mustang. granted, it was only an oil change, but i snatched that ticket up before it even was hung on the hook. how could i pass down an opportunity like this. so.... as i sit in it and start it up, i notice the gauge color is purple. i soon figure out how to change the colors. there are three sets of lights in the guages. you have your gauge color, halo color, and backlight color. and there are probably 10 colors to pick from, and they all can be different. i then start messing with the stereo. it had a shaker stereo system in it, so of course it hit. the engine was only the 4.0 v6, but the exhaust sounded pretty throaghty for that engine. and when you look at the engine, it kinda looks like the 4.6 only smaller, and without the sohc. so i get the mustang in the air, and start checking out the under side. one thing i didnt like was how skinny the tires were. if i remember correct, the tire size is a 215/60 R17. also, if you plan on putting up dual exhaust on it, routing it looked pretty simple, but the bumper is only notched out for a single exhaust. so you would have to buy either the whole bumper, or the black bottom piece. which isnt a big deal, just might be kinda $$$. but overall..... a very very beautiful car. just working on it for an hour makes me jealous that i cant own one. but at least i can say I DROVE A 2010 FOR MUSTANG!

Yeah, I really like the '10's too. They have a black GT in Jackson with all the options (side scoops, side window louvers, track pack w/3.73 gears, etc.), I drooled! :=drool=:

now I am jealous! I havn't seen one up close let alone work on something cool like that, I only get to work on trenchers or boom trucks anymore but they do let me play with the strobe lights once in awhile for good behavior . :*woohoo*:
now I have to go to the dealer and check one out .

When I get rid of my car, I'm either stepping into a '10 or an '11 Coyote. I guess it all depends on when I decide to stop with this car.

There was a grabber blue GT at the pinks race at 131 on sat. It was on display, but we did here it run on our way out. If it had stock exhaust on it,ford nailed it, but as loud as it was I would have to think it was'nt stock. Sticker price was $34,000 and change, and it was gourgous.

i do remmember reading some thing about the ford performance exhaust as possibly being added as an option. that one might have had it then.

If that was something you could order w/ the car, or have put on at the dealer when it comes in, it would definately be worth it.

yes that is an option. also, every 2011 mustang will have dual exhaust, V6 models and all. my dad works at demmer, and theyre producing the exhaust brackets for the 2011 gt 500 right now. he said some designs will be a little different. so expect an edgier look. but honestly, im not sure what they can do make it look better than the 2010s.

ford is actually doing things right with the mustang.

I think "probe" could quite possibly be the worst name for a car, it just don't sound right no matter how it is said.....for now on we will call it the Ford AlmostMustang (by Mazda). lol
