ORP Equipment Requirements
The last time I raced was in 1975 at Muncie. At the time I was driving a '69 Camaro. I've been thinking about going to ORP but I'm not sure of the equipment requirements. Their web site mentioned something about a long-sleeve shirt and a helmet. Are these things required?

Re: ORP Equipment Requirements
They are pretty anal about the rules they have, especially wearing pants, helmets, and having cages. There have been plenty of times where they wouldn't let someone continue racing because they didn't have one of the above. They will let you race with a t-shirt though.

you just have to have long pants closed toed shoes and a helmet if u run a 13.99 or faster
Re: ORP Equipment Requirements
It looks like I should buy a helmet. I figure the only thing keeping my car out of the 13s is the driver. Will a regular motorcycle helmet do?

Yep and if you don't plan on racing on the time you can just buy one of the cheaper ones. I believe I got mine for $70 and I have heard of people paying hundreds. :*bonk(:
