Re: Mardi Gras at US 41
Here is my email to them...I haven't been able to break away and call them yet. It may be a good thing, due to my aggrivation about the event.
**************************
To Whom It May Concern:
The past Mardi Gras event on June 27th was a great disappointment for those that had all intentions to race at your track. There were quite a few upset individuals, myself included, which solely attended to race/watch the advertised "grudge matches." You should have advertised this as a car show geared towards the drunken masses that would like a place to drink, sexually objectify women, and pay for absolutely nothing. This event was poorly organized; there were no time limits placed on events. The events that did happen were a joke with only 5-10 contestants in each; while the 30+ racers left. With the weather playing a key roll in the delay of track events; a few of the events should have been eliminated to allow time for the main reason everyone attended.
This brings me to your staff, or lack of. Your staff is to be a direct representation of you and your company, correct? Could you please explain the logic behind allowing complete anarchy on your track? Your staff was pouring beer on each other and spraying the crowd with a hose; is this acceptable behavior for you and your staff? My opinion is that your staff should all be fired.
I understand the myth behind Mardi Gras, being a huge party where you receive beads in favor of exposing yourself. If this was to be the main goal behind this event say so. This will allow the true drag race fans to stay home and be with our loved ones.
I am apart of a local car club, Wildhorsesclub Indianapolis. We have attended several events at your track and will now be boycotting your track and spreading the word about your inability to control an event and give the people what they want out of a dragway…TO RACE!
Sincerely,
AJ Korbel

Got a smart ass reply from him too.
"I am glad you had a great time! LOL"
I don't think that idiot realizes that most of his business comes from word of mouth.

Re: Mardi Gras at US 41
We should have called the cops and said there was a bunch of underage drinking going on and people were drinking and driving.

Re: Mardi Gras at US 41
man u could probably do some serious damage judging just by the footage you guys have
Re: Mardi Gras at US 41
Im pretty sure taping it and showing it to the cops wont do anything cause the cops have to catch you under the influnece to give you a ticket for it they cant give you one just from a video
