MIG FTW...

But, I learned how to somewhat weld on a TIG, so we might just want to think about this....HMMMMMMMMMMMMM

J/K I don't think GSM is ready for me to have a TIG in hand

TIG is just as easy and MIG and both are easy to do TIG gives you a stronger and deeper penetrating weld. But you also cant get a TIG in tight spaces and thats what you guys are gonna wanna do you wont be able to weld and exhaust while its on the car with a TIG normally you gotta take everything and and weld it in front of you with a TIG.

So MIG it is

I have a MIG. Tig would be nice, but they are really used for two completely different applications.

I have a Lincoln Mig at the shop that I use all the time. It is overkill for what y'all want to do ($1400), but a smaller version will do you well. A tig is great if you are wanting to do aluminum, but other than that a mig will do the job just fine!

If you can afford it I would go with a Miller but that Hobart I linked is a good brand and is good enough to do what your looking to do. Just gotta use flux core wire unless you buy the tank for gas and the regulator
