I have a 1990 Mustang GT that I purchased in Nov. of 1989, it's a mostly stock AOD car that has about 200,000 miles on it, Black with grey interior, I had it almost completely apart this spring, took care of all the little nicks, scratches, rust and small dents and gave it some much needed new paint. Thanks, I Love it too. It has been a great car and I don't plan on ever selling it, it is a daily driver, goes on vacations, and has been down the dragstrip at Milan and National Trails in Columbus Ohio, after 23 years it was still running great until last weekend when the motor exploded on me, but after years of being driven HARD I can't complain, it will be getting a new motor in a week or two and hopefully I'll get another 23 years out of it.

I've had plenty of other cars and bikes, this and my 73 Montego GT with a 429 were my favorites, I bought it 10 days after my son was born and now he has an 87 LX 4 banger we converted to a GT body, 5.0, T-5, 8.8 rear with 3.73's .........then changed it to 5 lug....we wanted something that wasn't twisted and built how he wanted it, his is Grabber Blue. Divorce cost me my other toys and all I kept was the Mustang.

Welcome. And from one Fox lover to another....killer car. I hope to keep my Foxbodies that long. Never plan on letting go of the '85, even after it went up in flames. Wish you the best of luck on the engine swap. Any thing more than a 5.0 going in this time?

I'm only putting a 5.0 back in it for now but I hope to be able to build up a 347 for next year, money is tight right now after getting the trans and body done a few months ago. I don't plan on racing the car and like going on long trips with it so I want to keep it as a daily driver rather than a 1/4 mile car. It isn't the fastest car around but it suits me, the 3.73's get me going quick enough, the A/C still runs cold and I get compliments on it almost every day. I've about 8 different sets of wheels on the car and each time I'd end up seeing another black GT with the same wheels, I found the Weld VR-14 Flame wheels about 10 years ago and haven't seen another with them yet. I see a lot of Mustangs on the road but not many FoxBody GT's that are not rusted out.
