MY TRANS IS GOING!

Yep lol the trans in my car is about ready to drop a gear or two. It wont go into first some of the times and second sometimes wont go in and other times it will pop out of second with a loud thud and third is a ***** sometimes too. 4th is the only gear that works flawlesly and its also the one that I power shift the most? I cant explain it haha whatever once it goes im gonna do a T56 swap

I think we might have to have another tech day at Steves house haha!

T56 instal tho wich will be much easier than a long tube header install on Pats car

haha well I will talk to my parents and tell them I need a trans and see what they say haha. The conversion ill the new cross member the new shifter ill put in a new clutch most likely and a 31 spline front yoke for my alluminum drive shaft and thats about it I think

I've done several trans swaps in Cali. It really flies if you have access to air tools.

I was looking at the trans you have posted above and I would recommend getting a 26 spline input shaft for it to make it stronger. I know when I get a new clutch that is what I will be doing.

Mabey I can just find one with a 26 spline input. Thats by far the cheapest ive seen tho for that trans so I will most likley buy from there. Ill look into the 26 spline

I guess it also depends on how much power you are aiming for and how you are going to drive it.

Well im gonna build a 347 stroker in the next two years I hope and shooting for 400 NA HP so I think the 31 spline could handle that. But if I went with a super charger like I want to ill be around 550 or so so I might need to convert

i think you should be good with the one you posted. you'll have a chance to do the 26 spline when you put the stroker in. That thing is gonna be a beast though, thats for damn sure

Yeah it will I cant wait till I start my job in Florida so I got some income and can throw the stroker at it.
