What you think?
I am going to be working with CASA for Christmas this year. I am doing this as the club. So anyhelp that I can get from anyone is greatly appreciated. I have already talked to Mrs. Glenda on this. We would like to get each child 2 toys for Christmas of course this will not come out of our pockets directly we will need to do some fundraising. I was thinking maybe in July do a jambayla dinner. If that doesn't raise enough then we can taslk about other ideas to go with it. If you have fundraising ideas let me know we are always needing funds to do stuff like this. The background of what CASA does for these kids:
Every year they hold a wrapping party for the advocates. Which is where each advocate picks toys out from ones that have been donated and they wrap them for the kids. This year they want to take that a step forward. They want to have the wrapping party, and they have invited us to join them. Then after that they want to have a Christmas party where the children can recieve these gifts make real formal but with games for the kids. I would love if we could get involved in this effort. These are children who really need some good memories. So the count for the kids are as follows:
Age Grp
0-3
Boys 8
Girls 13
4-6
Boys 14
Girls 8
7-10
Boys 7
Girls 8
11-13
Boys 5

Can we make donations from anywhere and if so how do we go about doing so? I have a soft spot for needy children and would love to help out how ever I can.

Re: What you think?
What I am going to be doing is just getting funds together. I have a site that I use for stuff like this. I can buy toys in bulk, realy nice ones, for not alot of money. Like for instance I can a dozen of really nice teddy bears for around $12. These are bears that you would usually spend $15 a piece on in stores. So if you want to help with this for down here you can mail it to Mrs.Glenda. just get with her on where to mail it to.

Perhaps you can set up a paypal account? I think that would be easier instead of sending funds in the mail. Paypal accounts are very easy to set up and can be attached to a bank account and only takes a couple days to get money FROM paypal and into your bank account.
