Choppy, That tells me that your struts are bad. On the outside tells me your alighnment is off too. Maybe two things to have a tire shop look into. Is this after the piece of wood in the road? scratch Are your tires under inflated?

I would say alignment, negative camber (although, too much positive camber is more of a problem with Mustangs). The toe may be out, is there equal wear on both sides? I had wore out struts, but never "choppy" wear on the outsides.

yes both sides of each front tire. this is the second set of fronts that have done this. the springs lowered the front of my car about 1'-1.25"... so the camber is off.. like the bottom of the tire is a little out.. BUT i have had cars like that in the past and not seen it b4.. a guy i know with a fox said he had directional tires on the front that did this b4 too and a guy bout similar tires at his shop on a non-sports car and they also did this....? if anyone wants to see them text me your cell and name and i'll send close up pics. you could ask around maybe???i hate to keep puttin tires on there and just do the same but it sucks hearin them droan.... and cant be good for traction.

Most likely toe is in too far if so it probably wanders a little. Any time you adjust suspension, you should get an alignment...

what brand and make tires are they? there are certain tires that chop naturally. also, do you rotate often? there are a couple of things that could play into chopping. suspension is one, but if its only on the inside and outside, and not along the whole width of the tire, then it would lean more towards alignment issues also. if you lowerd your front, did you install caster camber adjustment plates? lowering does change camber measurements. if you are anywhere near lansing sometime, bring it by firestone. i could do an alignmentcheck on it and figure out what the problem is.

ok guys. i'll look into the toe in.. the old front tires chopped too. so its not from droppin the springs. and its only like 1" lower in front and 1/2" in back... i'll get camber plates and alignment when i got new front tires. and they are Cooper zeon 2XS... i'm gettin some z rated off brand fronts and similar pattern tread in the back but somthin more pricy with softer compound. and sorry loosenut. too far from lancing.. but i'd be there tonight if i was close. clown

I had Cooper Zeon's before with the stock ride height, they did the EXACT same thing!
