Post by scstanger Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:32 pm

Ok gang, what is the difference between the coupe and convertible springs and why do very few company's make affordable springs for SN95 convertibles? I would really like the Eibach Sportline series that will lower my car about 2" but apparently they aren't made for my car. Anybody with any info on the differnce please enlighten me! Thanks everybody. banghead

The only thing i can figure is that the convertible weighs a little bit more than the coupe. But they're trying to play on our so called ignorance and sell us something expensive when another part will do just fine. I'm running the Eibachs on mine. unless you upgrade your control arms, you still get a bit of body roll... or at least I do. A good subframe connector will help solve this...

My experience has been that the vert springs compensate for people that don't have upgraded subframe connectors. You guys running the coupe springs on the vert i'm sure have noticed the less than pleasant dampening reaction to major holes in the road...you'll notice this less when you use the vert springs

Tim and I just lowered mine (well in the last few days it was mostly Tim, lol), I used Tokico springs and struts. Also did all control arms and caster camber plates. I'll throw some pics up soon.
