Past Event: Kick-off Cruise to Auburn, IN 5/1/10

Official Thread!
This event will be May 1st! We will be cruising to Auburn, IN to visit a couple of auto museums there and meet the IN chapter there the same time. David from the IN chapter (FRCD_FED), has been in contact with a few different Mustang clubs in Indiana and I have been in contact with a few up here too see if they have any members interested in making the event with us. We may also look into a cruise with the other clubs around the Auburn/Ft. Wayne area. There will be more details coming for this event, the latest will always be posted at the start of THIS thread!
Here are just the start of the details:
8:00am----MI chapter will be meeting at Meijers in Charlotte.
8:30am----MI crew will be leaving there at that time, sharp.
10:00am----Arrival to Auburn's Kruse Victory Museum
1:00pm (approx)----Lunch at Sonic (or at Ryan's if the weather dictates)
2:00pm (approx)----Visit ACD museum
We will also be doing a 50/50 drawing for $$$ and some other prizes.
After the ACD Museum (if time permits), we may do a cruise around Fort Wayne (I-469) with a local club there.
Ticket prices:
Kruse museum: open 9-5 daily
Group rate (12 or more): $7.00 adults
$6.00 kids
ACD Museum: open 8-5 daily
Group rate (12 or more): $8.00 adults

Just requested time off work to go to this one. 
I have a favor to ask though, since I'm coming from West MI My friend and I are planning on staying in Charlotte on the Friday before. Does anyone know a inexpensive/clean place to stay? And maybe a good restaurant to check out?

I am taking Fri. Nite before off so I can go. When will you get into town so we can plan a gathering. Maybe a bonfire at my place 
or go cruising 
to a local watering hole 
or maybe 20 of us can stop at you hotel and get you thrown out ot it.

I think we are planning on leaving My house around noon- 1ish so we will be in Charlotte around 2-3ish, this is probably my "vacation" for the summer so I'm ready to party! I don't know the area at all so I'm game if anyone will want to meet up with us and hang Friday night. I'm not objecting to getting thrown out of the hotel!!!

yeah super 8 and holiday inn express are both right there when you get off I-69 at exit 60... I know Super 8's aren't exactly known for being good places t o stay but i just checked the reviews on the one in Charlotte and it seems pretty good.... google "Charlotte Michigan Hotels" and it will bring up holiday inn, super 8, and crestview and give reviews for all of them...
