NEW PARTS!!!! Empty NEW PARTS!!!!

Post by scstanger Sun Mar 14, 2010 9:34 pm

Ok as most of you guys know my passenger door and front bumper were not in good shape at all. Well that all ends very soon!!!!!!!!!!! I got my new passenger door and front bumper on Saturday. They're DFG, which is an awesome color as Mike said in the past, so they'll need to be repainted but that's no big deal. The problem that I'm going to have is where the guy cut every wire going into the door. Is there any quick fix other than splicing them together? No matter what I cannot wait until I get these on to finish out the exterior of my car. I'll keep you guys posted on the progress.

Yep was hoping that I could do that... so there is a harness inside the door? He cut the wires halfway between the door and car. Not familiar with the electrical end of things.

Ok here is what I have. Where do I disconnect what is here and reconnect that which has not been tampered?

It appears that everything is connected directly not coming from a harness. I'm confused! banghead

Unplug everything (all the quick connect plugs) from your current door and pull it out the hole so all the wiring is still attached to your car then put the wires back through the hole in to the new door after taking all wiring out of the new door and reconect all the plugins to the new door everything should reconnect the same wala your done

Am I going to run into moisture issues later if I remove the plastic now? Will it stick back on easily after removal?

Sometimes it does go back on but if it doesn't tape it back on with Duct tape. The only time you will see it is if the panel is off so it doesn't matter how it looks
