Need sponsor volunteers!!!!!

OK here's the deal.... Clarksville Speedway (Drag Strip) will give us FREE sponsorship for some track work... looking for people to spend one day re-painting the staging lanes, pit area, track lines, etc.. I figure roughly 6-8 people (more if they want to help) can get all the areas done in about 5 hrs..

How the sponsorship works...

By doing the re-painting services our banner will be permantely placed on the drag strip wall along with the other drag strip sponsors.
Normally to have a banner placed at the track costs the groups placing the banners/signs $600 a year. We are getting this FREE for our previous help with the framing of the bathrooms as well as this now project of re-painting..

The drag strip is now closed for the season, (except midnight madness). So a saturday or sunday in the next couple of weeks would be best before WINTER sets in town..

If it's a weekend we'll all be there, on a week day just me and the mut. He has to be my travel companion while we are staying the hotel, they don't want them left alone.

Tenative Date:

Dec 13rd if the weather is good. This will at least lets us get a start. The projects very well may take 2 days to complete... Keep an eye on the forums for more details...

Ok as we all know the set date was rained out. Now planning to do the work on Jan 3rd. This is the sun after our first meet of the year. I know it is getting cold out so everyone give me some feedback on this before we set it in stone. I would just like to get this done before the season starts for will so we can get a good, new banner put up there.

It's warmer there than it is here! ha Wish we could help. Post up some pics.

Ok well judging from the lack of response one way or another, we are going to set a date up later and whoever shows up to help does and those who don't just don't.

just let me know and i will let dave know since he doesnt get on here very often.

Just a thought, but I would keep it to the 3rd like you have it and pitch the idea at the club meet on the 2nd, cuz you know that only about 1/10 of the chapter gets on here

Not many people posting lately.. Not even the regulars. Hopefully it's just a seasonal thing.

Count me out for the 3rd. Sundays are a no-go for me to come out to Clarksville.

yeah i can agree with that. we really do need to get it done and evan if only a few people show up atleasts we can get a good start on it. the only thing that would stop us is weather right now havent checked the forcast but we will see

we will be there I will even bring a camera

Ok well Tj had a good idea and so did Evan. But the weather is not supposed to be good at all on Sunday so we are going to work something out and ofcourse post plans for everyone to know what's going on. I do hope to get as much true help as we can. Thanks everyone in advance.
