May 16th Meeting.

Yes it's early posting, but here's the reason. The Clarksville speedway is having a dirt track event this night and has offered our club a special rate for the race track suites. Private suite seating with food and drinks, plus pit passes. Plus we get exclusive group parking for easy access to and from the track.

The cost is $25 per person which includes a pit pass, 1 hot dog, 2 hamburgers, chips and 2 drinks, plus private seating in suites located above turn 1 of the dirt track. Also your pass will let you walk around in the general admission area.

If you're interested in the event post up. I need a rough number of persons to insure enough food and drinks are provided for the event. Also money will be collected the night of the event.

This would be a first for the club. I know we went as group one time before, but it was just sitting in the bleachers. Not in the private suites. This sounds exciting. We can have our own little party at the races.. :*woohoo*:

Me and Troy can't make it but it really sounds like a good time. We are giving my Mom and Dad a 50th anniversary celebration that day.

Ok everyone this is great oppurnity for us to have a really great night at the races. What we're getting for 25.00 pp is, a tour of the pits, also the racing events such as qualifiying for all 8 different classes of cars, then two/three heat races, and then the feautres of each class. We will be sitting in an air conditioned suite with refrigator, runing water, bathrooms and seating and 2 very larger glass windows looking out over the track and down onto turns 1 and 2, also we are getting food, 2 hamburgers, one hotdog, chips and 2 drinks for this price. the normal time frame for this is usually 5:00 - 12:00, sometimes finishing earlier or later, depending on how man y wrecks, cautions or mishsps happen. So far only 5 people have signed up and time is running out, we need to have a definite number by sat, because we have to have at least 20 to even get this rate. If you'd like a great evening out at a low price per hour, 4.18pp calculating on number of hours per dollar you spend, this is a very cheap evening for your dollar, and it is a lot of fun watching the cars right under you as they race, some estimating around 95mph as they slide through the turns, clay dirt is slick as glass. Well I cant do it since I spent alot of money doing the MAA and I have family in visiting that weekend so I dont think they are into the racen. since they are from out of town I most likely will be taken them to nashville and doing that kind of stuff. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Geri and I will be there and are going to bring her little brother and her cousin.

dont think me and meagan are going to make it we are planning on going to the WMC event on the 17th though
