Cherry Bomb Flow Rates....
If anyone knows me by now, you know I run the Cherry Bomb Vortex cat-backs. Here are some flow rate #'s on their products compared to a 3" straight pipe:
Click here---->Cherry Bomb flow rates....then click the lower right-hand corner where it says "flow rates"
They are known for their sound and proven dyno #'s. The cat-back system ran about $430 from AutoZone and they sound great, I'll get a sound clip up as soon as I get my camera back from repair.

Re: Cherry Bomb Flow Rates....
I've never heard a cherry bomb on a mustang sound good. I'm skeptical but I hope you're the first.
Re: Cherry Bomb Flow Rates....
Trust me, they're good. They've worked hard to eliminate the "drone" and high frequency. Ask Tim, he put 'em on while I changed the plugs.Sxynerd wrote:I've never heard a cherry bomb on a mustang sound good. I'm skeptical but I hope you're the first.

I never thought CB droned, just that they sound Hollow and pingy. I had them on my 67 and loved them with turndowns.
Re: Cherry Bomb Flow Rates....
Did you use the glasspack straight-throughs? I know what you mean with those, my brother had 'em on his '69 Mach1. I haven't had the pingyness with the Vortex series.Sxynerd wrote:I never thought CB droned, just that they sound Hollow and pingy. I had them on my 67 and loved them with turndowns.

Yes it was the straight through glasspacks... I didn't know they had any other type.

OK, here's a short sound clip. I only got a still rev sound clip, next time I do a rolling one (sounds better while rolling ).
