wideband ?
ok so I'm thinking i might get some gauges. Can I run an air/fuel off of my stock o2 sensors? or do I have to get a wideband?
also, blake got a vortech kit for his car... we'll be installing it over christmas break!

Re: wideband ?
You have to buy a WB seperate. The stock O2 sensors are narrow band analog signals. They will not work with a WB setup.
Also, you want to add a seperate bung into your exhaust just after the stock FRONT O2's. This is about the easiest place to install a bung and WB sensor.
If you would like a nice ready to run set PM David for his setup. I think it's a PLX, real nice plug and play unit. I have an Innovative setup which runs more $ but is more known for it's quick and accurate readings, but is a PITA to install.

Re: wideband ?
The narrow band is like your engine temp gauge (cold or hot) the only thing it helped me with was when i was pinging (lean) it did goto red but the wideband is way, WAY more accurate save your money and buy the wideband now cause if you dont ... you will lol

Re: wideband ?
gotcha... will I need that level of accuracy, though? I've seen the ones with like the led's where it tells you if you are normal, lean, or rich.... the wideband's are the ones with the number readouts?

Re: wideband ?
I'm gettin this stuff from a friend for christmas.... a WB would be too much to ask for... if I got a WB gauge... could I hook it up to the o2 sensors until I could buy a WB setup later?

Depends on who you ask. I ran a narrow band on my 06 and it worked fine for me. And yes, most of the widebands have the readouts.

It should come with everything you need. Are you just getting the a/f gauge or do you plan on getting others too?

Re: wideband ?
I would check out some places online as far as getting the best deal, like ebay(nitrous gauge). You may also want to give Lethal a call and see what they can do.
