Free Flowmaster 40s

My old ears can't stand the Flowmaster drone anymore. It got worse after the long-tubes and x-pipe. Next week I'm having the Flowmasters cut out and Magnaflows installed. If you want the Flowmasters, they are yours for the taking.

How did you pay for the Magnaflows, and where did you get them? I've got MAC's on my Capri and they are LOUD. I want to go quieter also.

Most of the places I called sell only the cat-back system. The local muffler shop in Rushville, Exhaust Plus, can get the Magnaflow mufflers. They are going to cut out the Flowmasters, redo some of the pipes, and weld in the Magnaflows for $280. I've known Gary, the owner, a long time and his shop does really good work.

I called a lot of muffler shops asking their opinion before I committed to Magnaflows. Performance Driven LLC in Indianapolis told me that they replace Flowmaster and SLP mufflers all the time with Magnaflows. They said they often try to talk people out of the louder systems. They said one customer went someplace else to get an off-road x-pipe and SLPs installed and then came back to them to take the SLPs off.

I don't know where you could get the work done in Tennessee. Google Magnaflow and click on the dealer tab. It will tell you the nearest dealers to your location.

Magnaflows with x-pipe sound real good.

The Magnaflows are in. They are not exactly quiet and they sound really good. Now I only have to turn the radio up to half volume instead of three-quarters volume.

I have to admit I kinda miss that rumble... in town. My ears feel much better on the highway. I like the Magnaflows.
