Mustang Wins at the Movies!

Have you seen a movie featuring a Ford Mustang lately? According to an article in the Canwest News Service, Ford Motor Company took the prize at the annual Brandcameo awards for Overall Product Placement. The award, given out by Brandchannel.com, is awarded to the companies most successful for getting their products into movies. The article said Brandchannel discovered that Ford cars were featured in 30 of the 52 films from January 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. And what was the most popular Ford car? The Mustang of course. An article on Brandchannel.com said:

The new model [Mustang] has more-than-meets-the-eye showings in the recent hits "Transformers" and "I Am Legend". The classic model, on which the new one is based, plays huge roles in "The Bucket List" and "American Gangster".

As for the Mustang, its time in front of the camera isn't over yet. This weekend it will appear in the movie remake of "Death Race." And next year it will play a part in "Transformers 2".
