T-45 Swap?

Hey everyone... I need a little help I have an 01 Gt. With the t-45 trans it finally gave out on me and im looking to put something better. Maybe even a six speed. Any kind of help would be sweet. I had a quote for new six speed. clutch. And a new drive shaft for $3500 installed. Ouch.

did the syncros go out? If you get it rebuilt with the revised syncro kit the T45 is a very good trans. In fact the T56 (6 speed) and T45 share some parts. Don't listen to all the internet mumbo jumbo saying how crappy they are

i would go with bramas on this one there are alot of companys out there that can get you a rebuild and upgrade kit for alot less then a new trans, the T45 is a great tranny and can with stand alot with the right upgrades the nashville pres is going through the same thing right now and he has been calling me with everything he has found i will post more of what he finds as soon as he sends it to me

Yes the syncros went. It continuously pops out of third gear. I've talked to a couple shops and they want a lot of money to rebuild the t45. Im going to look in to the revised kit. And yea Ive been going off the internet people judging the t45. Lol.
