Hey everyone! Haven't been on here in awhile and feel like a deuche for it. I;m finally ordering my lowing springs tomorrow! Getting H&R Super Sport springs, which means I'll be practically shoveling dirt as I drive. Guess I can call Ford and cancel that order for F150 badges as Mallory will no longer be rockin the 4x4 look anymore. Richard, that means I'm gonna need your help! Lemme know if your available Saturday! I'll post before and after photos once the job is complete!

Richard I would like to come to you your place as I don't really have the tools here. The garage part is nice too! lol. I just ordered the springs a few minutes ago and they are being shipped UPS! Estimated arrival is anytime from Friday til Sunday...god I hope they make it here before Saturday.

Hey Boosted...that's just trick photography with an IPhone..lol! If you saw it from the side, you'd realized you can almost stick your head between the back wheel and fender...even with running 20's! So I'm hoping to be shoveling dirt by the weekend!

I would do the rear first. Lift the rear of the car and put it on jack stands. So you can do both sides at the same time. Support the rear axle with a floor jack. Before you lower the rear axle take the lower shock bolts out and take out the lower (axle side) panhard bolt and tie the bar back out of the way. Then you can lower the axle enough to swap out the springs. When you put the new springs in make sure you get them set in the rubber isolaters corectly or your car may sit higher on one side. Then put every thing back together the way it came apart. Be carful when you lower the car now because the jack may not come out from under the car. I used a couple of 2x4's under the tires to hold the car high enough to pull the jack out from underneath. Then you can drive it off the 2x4's. Cool

Ridge... I'll see what I can do for coming over; depends on how I am feeling after Friday night, LOL

Maybe I can bring the camera and we can put together a DIY walkthrough, unless someone on here already has?

The front is a little more difficult. I didn't have a spring compresser so I did it the way I've seen it done on Horse Power TV. Lift one side at a time. support the car with a jack stand and remove the wheel and tire. remove the caliper and disconnect the sway bar link from the strut. put a floor jack under the lower control arm. be sure to put a safty chain around the spring just in case it decides to fly out at you (mine didn't). Raise the jack to compress the spring, But don't lift the car off the stand. Then remove the large nut on the top of the strut. You should now be able to lower the jack and the strut will come out of the upper mount. Take loose the 2 lower strut/spindle bolts and remove the strut and spring together. Now you can put the new spring and strut back in and put everything back together the way it came out. The new spring will be shorter so you wont have to comress it with the jack when installing. Now do the other side the same way and your done. Remember when lowering your car to use the 2x4's again like the rear. Be sure to get an alighnment after your finished. I'll add some thoughts to your head: watch for speed bumps/pot holes in the road now, It will be really easy to bottom out. Cool

We (and by "we" I mean "they") got it done! It looks great!

Richard took video of him pulling out of the driveway, but I'm pretty sure they were going cruising/partying tonight. So I doubt it will get posted until tomorrow.
