i finally have a EAD date! i woke up early yesterday morning (around 10:30ish) to my phone ringing. Recruiter was calling to tell me that i leave for Basics 5-25-2010... I was paired up as a Aerospace Maintenance Apprentice (2A531). Pretty much just doing pre-flight and post-flight inspections on the planes.... So it looks like i'll be able to hit a couple things yet this year but will be leaving the like 4 days before the memorial day parade...

it's a cakewalk, I promise. From the start Make it known that you want to be and deserve to be a squad leader. Send me your email address and I'll send you some basic stuff that put you up ahead of everyone early.

there's three ways to go about being there... 1st a leader, 2nd a middle of the pack sort of guy and 3rd the Fckup.

Some will say to be the Middle of the pack guy and to never volunteer but I think that's pointless. Remember why you're there and since you can't go home at night you might as well push 100% all the time. If you do well, you can even be promoted meritoriously on graduation day.

Yeah Mike i signed 6 years so i automatically get E-3 the day i graduate basics but i'm still looking to promote as quick as possible... MY email address is Rick.MI@Wildhorsesclub.net

As of right now it looks like i will be doing a Birthday/Going away party Saturday May 22 since my birthday is the 19th and i leave the 25th... Already got a DJ lined up and probably just have burgers and hotdogs and a keg....
