need engine Empty block changes

Post by Guest Mon Apr 13, 2009 2:31 pm

this may be a stupid question but were there any changes to the block when they changed the body style in 94? are all the fuel injected 5.0s compatible with the 1994 components that are in my car? in other word can i take a 88 model block and place my parts on them and drop it in the car. just wanting to be sure. thanks for any comments.

all 5.0 blocks are basically the same. you can swap accesories from any production 5.0 motor to any other. that being said, if you do use a complete motor from another year, it's possible that the computer may need to be retuned for it. not 100% sure, but it's a possiblity.

The only thing different on the 94/95 is the accessories spin in the opposite direction as the 87-93's, also the intake will need an elbow all of which can be found or taken off your current block and swapped on.

95+ blocks are the same. 95 fuel injected block are the old non-roller with 50 oz. imbalance one piece seal crank.
